We introduce Midday Supervisors to positive behaviour strategies that help them de-escalate incidents and build up healthy relationships with all children. Our training gives Supervisors an opportunity to have their say and invites them, based on their own feedback, to identify how lunchtime can be improved.
Children are often very disrespectful to Midday Supervisors. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, Midday Supervisors spend most of their time policing and cleaning and do not engage with the children. Secondly, they use inappropriate language and do not know their own school rules. If children know the Midday Supervisors do not know the rules it becomes impossible for them to manage behaviour.
